About Joo Ho Roh
Joo Ho Roh is a contemporary dance artist and performer from Seoul, South Korea, currently a company dancer with the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company (KNCDC) and HEEN DANCE.
He began dancing at the age of 14 through b-boying, a formative experience that shaped his respect for multiple movement languages and later led him into contemporary dance. He trained at Kaywon Art High School and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master of Arts from Sejong University. Roh has worked with various companies and creative projects in Korea, including KNCDC, HEEN DANCE, Tatmaroo Dance Company, Roh Dance Company, and Unplugged Bodies, and has performed internationally as a company dancer with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (Israel), touring worldwide in works such as 'A Good Citizen' by Artistic Director Rami Be’er.
Drawing from street dance roots, diverse contemporary practices, and the embodied principles of Gaga movement language through his work with HEEN DANCE, Joo Ho brings a versatile, grounded movement approach informed by cross-cultural performance experience.
