Director's Message

Every year, the Youth Programme brings together a group of individuals over an extended period of time, and with it, a distinct collective energy begins to form. In this fifth edition of the Sigma Youth Programme, each dancer arrives with their own habits, interests, and ways of moving—shaped as much by their lives outside of dance as by their training within it.

Throughout the creation process, we witnessed this group grow not only as dancers, but as people. There is a quiet humanity in the studio—dancers supporting one another, helping each other through challenges, and making the effort to improve. In many ways, this has felt like a breath of fresh air amidst the pace and noise of the world today.

On behalf of the faculty, we are proud of how far they have come, and we look forward to seeing where their journeys take them next. Whether it is a side quest or a main quest, keep moving.

This also marks the first Sigma Youth Programme showcase in our own studio. We thank you for being here to support this important milestone for our dancers.

Please enjoy the show.

About the work

NOVA is a contemporary dance showcase where young dancers reveal the worlds they carry within. Developed through a year of training in the Sigma Youth Programme, this performance invites audiences into a shifting landscape of movement, curiosity, and discovery.
Developed through a year of training in the Sigma Youth Programme, this performance invites audiences into a shifting landscape of movement, curiosity, and discovery.

Each dancer brings their own quirks, questions, and creative instincts into the studio, allowing individuality to surface and interact.
As these worlds meet — sometimes gently, sometimes unexpectedly — new patterns emerge. NOVA celebrates the brilliance of youth, the courage to explore the unknown, and the beauty of many voices coming together in motion.

Beyond the performance, NOVA reflects a learning journey where dancers are encouraged to develop their artistic voice, explore their curiosities, and discover new possibilities in movement. The programme supports young dancers seeking a deeper and more meaningful dance practice — one that values individuality, collaboration, and creative exploration.
